Information we collect
PeopleSay is a community website. It does not require you to create a conventional account and does not intentionally ask you for your name, email address, phone number, or other contact details. You voluntarily submit a short answer of up to 30 characters to the daily question.
- User-submitted answers: answers you submit to daily questions on PeopleSay. These answers may be displayed publicly as described below.
- Usage and technical data: information needed to deliver, secure, maintain, and measure the website, which may include pages viewed, features used, clicks, referring page, timestamps, IP address, browser or device information, and request information.
- Browser storage data: a pseudonymous identifier used to associate your activity with the same browser/session, your daily streak and the date of your last answer, your selected display theme, and information used to maintain your anonymous Supabase authentication session.
- Cookies and similar technologies: cookies or similar technologies used by the website or its service providers, including advertising technologies used for advertising and ad measurement.
We collect information directly from you when you submit an answer, automatically from your device when you use the website, and through the third-party service providers described below.
How we use your information
- To provide, operate and maintain PeopleSay as a community website.
- To associate your submissions and likes with your anonymous/pseudonymous identity and provide features such as daily streaks.
- To display community answers, statistics, and related features.
- To understand how PeopleSay is used and improve the website.
- To show and measure advertising.
- To prevent misuse, maintain security, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK visitors)
For visitors in the EEA and UK, we rely on the following legal bases under applicable data protection law, as applicable to the relevant processing:
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure and improve PeopleSay, prevent misuse, provide community functionality, and maintain the website, where these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Consent: for processing that requires consent, including non-essential cookies or similar technologies used for advertising.
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations.
How we share information
We use service providers that process information on our behalf or provide infrastructure used by PeopleSay. Depending on the service, they may process technical information such as IP address, browser information, request information, and timestamps.
- Supabase, for anonymous authentication, database, and backend infrastructure.
- Vercel, for website hosting and Web Analytics.
- Google AdSense, for advertising and ad measurement.
- Google Fonts, which provides the website's Inter font files.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, where permitted by applicable law.
Cookies and similar technologies
PeopleSay does not currently use traditional cookies for its core functionality. It uses browser local storage for its pseudonymous identifier, daily streak information, selected display theme, and anonymous authentication session. PeopleSay uses Vercel Web Analytics for cookieless website analytics.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies for advertising and measurement where permitted and, where required, after obtaining your consent.
See our Cookies page for more information.

Your submitted answer may be displayed publicly as part of the community statistics and answer archive for the relevant daily question. Please do not submit personal, sensitive, confidential, or otherwise private information. If you voluntarily include such information in an answer, it may become publicly visible.

To exercise these rights, contact herbaindustries@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where applicable, transfers of personal data outside the EEA or UK are made using an appropriate legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
How long we keep information
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate PeopleSay, provide its community features, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the service provider involved.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we will provide notice on the website before they take effect where reasonably practicable.
Additional information
PeopleSay uses anonymous Supabase authentication to maintain a pseudonymous application identity without requiring a conventional user account. The application may store the resulting identifier in browser local storage so that the same browser can continue using its PeopleSay identity and associated features.
PeopleSay stores daily streak information and the selected light or dark display theme locally in the visitor's browser.
PeopleSay uses Vercel Web Analytics for cookieless website analytics, including measuring page views and website usage.
PeopleSay uses Supabase as its authentication, database, and backend infrastructure to store daily prompts, user-submitted answers, pseudonymous identifiers associated with submissions, likes, and related application data.
PeopleSay uses Google Fonts to load the Inter typeface and jsDelivr to deliver the Supabase JavaScript library used by the website. These resources are requested by the visitor's browser when the relevant pages load.
